Meeting of the Working Group on Trafficking in Persons

Indonesia in cooperation with Australia held a third Meeting Bali Process on Financial crime related to trafficking in persons for three days at Padma Legian Hotel. The meeting was co-chaired by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Australian Attorney-General’s Department, attended by participants from around 40 countries and international organizations in Asia-Pacific and Africa. The meeting was held during two days then continued with the Consultation Workshop which is discussed the policy guide prepared jointly by the Bali Process members under the leadership of Indonesia and Australia. Foreign Minister Expert Staff on Management, Wajid Fauzi, in his opening remarks stated, "The Bali Process as the largest and longest forum in the region should be able to contribute positively in combating trafficking in persons and related crimes. One of them is by following where the money of that transnational crimes flow".
