Deepavali Celebration

This cultural event was held in Batam, Indonesia in cooperation with the Indian community in Batam and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia on 29 November 2008.

The Deepavali celebration consisted of cultural performances from India and Indonesia, and a dinner, which hosted 500 guests from Singapore and the West Indonesia area. The guests celebrating Deepavali were mostly India Hindu, Sikh and Jain.
